(if you’re not interested in reading a long spew of information about me than just mosey along then alright)

Okay so I’m Dylan, but sometimes I go by Nacho or NachoMan because that’s like my internet alias. If some bastard hadn’t taken “dylan.tumblr.com” then I’d totally snatch that up but alas I cannot. Sometimes I type like sweet bro and hella jeff talk so don’t be all like “aw man why is he using the wrong “your” I gotta be a grammar nazi” it’s like don’t worry about it okay.

So I’m a 17 year old guy with messy hair and a thirst for bloggin! My most favourite bands are Steely Dan, The Beatles, Modest Mouse, Guided by Voices and Led Zeppelin. That’s not all the music I listen to though I have like 200 cds and a closet full of vinyl so yeah. Music is pretty cool. I can play guitar pretty well I think which is good since I’ve been playing for 4 or 5 years so I’ve probably picked up some things by now.

I also like to draw a lot. I notice that the longer I write for, the better my grammar gets. Anyway yeah most of my art stuff is tagged under ‘dylan draws stuff’ so if you care go look at that. I’m pretty unprofessional though. I’m not hardcore, “gotta spend a whole week getting the inking right on this one panel in this comic” no I hate that. My style basically evolved from drawing very very fast in pen only for many years. One thing I noticed is that when drawing with pencil on paper I draw fine, but on a tablet my hand seems to shake a bunch. I think it’s just a mental thing, or maybe it’s because I draw very hard and I’m afraid of breaking the screen. I go through a bunch of lead.

I was saying something about my style uhhhh yeah. It came from a lot of comics like Calvin and Hobbes and Garfield and Peanuts and you know those comics. I would plagiarize them (it occurs to me I don’t know how to spell plagiarize) so bad but you know it melded my style I guess. My closet has about a hundred notebooks full of comics. I have ADHD so what I’d do is get hooked on drawing one thing over and over again in my journals. I remember drawing lots of snowmen. Pages and pages of snowmen. Now I just draw tom servo and crow in the margins of my papers. It’s pretty great.

On the left side of my banner you’ll see my little avatar guy. When I was like 7 I’d draw myself as a circle headed baseball cap guy wear’s Ed’s clothes from ed edd n eddy. I always draw him wearing long pants/shirt because I’m ashamed of my body or something. That robot looking guy on the right is my robot puppet robot Wimsy! Basically I was reading about mst3k and I read that Joel built all the robots out of goodwill crap so I figured I should make a puppet too! He’s made out of a lamp, a pair of hotwheels binoculars, one of those baby mobile crib things and a lego dome thingus. He appears in my art a bunch cuz he’s cool like that. Wimsy plushies will be available this August.
